Packing tips: a guide for large moves
For large moves, packing can be the last of your worries.
What are some simple rules to packing all your household items?
At Interstate Removals, we suggest these tips:
– Use bubble wrap for all fragile or breakable items. This includes kitchenware, old books, paintings, clocks and jewellery
– Use blankets and old doonas as an extra layer of protection for these fragile pieces. Particularly if you are moving interstate or a long distance, you’ll feel better knowing your precious painting had a smooth journey.
– Use small boxes for your valuables. If you’ve spent time amassing a jewelry or makeup collection, these can be difficult to transport effectively.
– For clothes, use vacuum seal bags. They are an excellent (and cost-effective) way of keeping your clothes together.
You could also use garbage bags (cut a hole in the top for the hanger) too if you are on a budget, or try plastic or sheets.
